Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. After clearing immigration, you will be welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to your hotel.
Depending on arrival time, relax and recover from your journey while preparing for the exciting safari adventure ahead.
Day 2 – Nairobi to Maasai Mara
After breakfast, depart from Nairobi and travel toward Maasai Mara National Reserve. The scenic drive takes you through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and rural Kenyan countryside.
Arrive at your safari lodge in time for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Expect to encounter wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and possibly lions roaming the vast plains.
Day 3 – Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara
Spend the entire day exploring the incredible wildlife habitats of Maasai Mara National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives.
Your guide will track wildlife across the savannah plains where lions, cheetahs, elephants, and buffaloes roam freely. During the migration season, you may witness dramatic scenes of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River.
Day 4 – Travel to Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast, begin the journey to Tsavo East National Park. This vast park is famous for its red elephants and wide open landscapes.
Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive exploring different parts of the park including areas near the Galana River where wildlife often gathers.
Day 5 – Tsavo East Safari Experience
Today includes morning and afternoon game drives within Tsavo East National Park. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species.
You may also visit scenic areas such as Lugard Falls along the Galana River while continuing your wildlife exploration.
Day 6 – Transfer to Diani Beach
After breakfast, depart for Kenya’s stunning coast and travel toward Diani Beach along the Indian Ocean.
Upon arrival, check in at your beachfront resort and enjoy the rest of the day relaxing by the ocean.
Day 7 – Beach Relaxation & Optional Activities
Enjoy a full day relaxing at Diani Beach. Guests may choose to relax on the white sandy beaches, swim in the warm Indian Ocean waters, or join optional activities such as snorkeling, diving, or boat excursions.
The coastal region also offers opportunities to explore coral reefs and marine life within nearby marine parks.
Day 8 – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning by the beach before transferring to Mombasa for your onward journey or departure flight.
