Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you travel south toward Amboseli National Park.
The drive passes through scenic countryside and rural villages before arriving in Amboseli around midday. After checking in at your lodge and enjoying lunch, head out for your first afternoon game drive.
Wildlife sightings may include elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. If weather conditions are clear, you may also enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Day 2 – Full Day Safari in Amboseli
Spend the entire day exploring the wildlife-rich plains of Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives.
The park’s wetlands and open savannah attract a wide variety of wildlife, including large elephant herds, lions, hyenas, and many antelope species. Amboseli is also an excellent destination for birdwatching.
Day 3 – Amboseli to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel north toward the Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha.
Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy a relaxing boat safari on the lake, where you may see hippos, fish eagles, pelicans, and other bird species. Optional activities include a guided walking safari at Crescent Island Game Sanctuary.
Day 4 – Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara
After breakfast, depart the Rift Valley and travel to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Arrive at your safari lodge in time for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. The Maasai Mara’s vast plains are home to lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other wildlife species.
Day 5 – Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara
Spend a full day exploring the spectacular wildlife habitats of Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to observe predators and large herbivores across the savannah plains. During the migration season, visitors may witness dramatic wildebeest river crossings.
Day 6 – Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi
Start the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife activity is at its peak.
After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara National Reserve and travel back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off will be arranged at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
