7-Day Kenya Migration Safari

The Great Migration is one of the most extraordinary wildlife spectacles on Earth. Every year, more than a million wildebeest, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, travel across the plains of East Africa in search of fresh grazing. The dramatic river crossings and predator encounters make this natural event one of the most sought-after safari experiences in the world.

This 7-day migration safari takes travelers deep into the heart of Maasai Mara National Reserve, where the migration typically arrives between July and October. During this period, vast herds move across the Mara plains and cross the famous Mara River, often facing crocodiles and waiting predators in dramatic scenes of survival.

In addition to the Maasai Mara, the safari also visits Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its thriving rhino sanctuary and abundant birdlife. Visitors may see both black and white rhinos along with giraffes, buffaloes, and large flocks of flamingos around the lake.

The journey also includes a relaxing stop at Lake Naivasha in the scenic Great Rift Valley. Here travelers can enjoy a boat safari among hippos and water birds or take a walking safari on Crescent Island. With multiple game drives and carefully chosen destinations, this itinerary maximizes opportunities to witness the Great Migration while exploring Kenya’s diverse landscapes and wildlife.
